    Today your State Office was sent the finalised AFULE election report from the Australian Electoral Commission. This concludes the 2026 AFULE elections.

    This election saw a number of elections for depot sub branch positions and Divisional Councillor roles (your union executive). Now that the ballots have been counted, I wish to announce and congratulate the following members of the AFULE Divisional Council for this 3 year term.

    AFULE President – Anthony Woodward (QR Citytrain)

    AFULE Vice President – Andrew Caris (AZJ Stuart)

    Women’s Officer – Claudia Payne (AZJ Bluff)

    Women’s Officer Proxy – Stevie Diehm (QR Redbank)

    Division 1 Councillor – Robert Daniel (AZJ Stuart)

    Division 1 Proxy – Nathan Barrett (AZJ Cloncurry)

    Mt Isa, Cloncurry, Hughenden, NQ QUBE, Stuart, Townsville PN and Mackay Sub Branches.

    Division 2 Councillor – Phil Brown (AZJ Jilalan)

    Division 2 Proxy – Greg Browning (PN Bowen)

    Coppabella, Coppabella PNC, Hay Point BMA, Jilalan, Sarina PNC, Sarina One Rail, Pring, Bowen PNC and Bowen BRC Sub Branches.

    Beenleigh, Caboolture, Ferny Grove, Gympie North, Ipswich, Kippa Ring, Manly, Mayne, Nambour, Petrie, Redbank, Robina, Shorncliffe and Springfield Sub Branches.

    Division 6 Councillor – Samuel Crawford (AZJ Willowburn)

    Division 6 Proxy – David Millward (AZJ Willowburn)

    Willowburn, Rosewood and Queensland Watco Sub Branches.

    Division 7 Councillor – James Simms (QR Bundaberg)

    Division 7 Proxy – Dewain Clarke (QR Bundaberg)

    Bundaberg, Cairns, Emerald QR, Rockhampton QR, Roma QR, Toowoomba and Townsville QR Sub Branches.

    AFULE Secretary – this role is a four year term with nominations to open in the 3rd quarter of 2026.

    The above are your duly elected members of your Divisional Council whose role is to advocate for and be party to decisions affecting their defined Division’s membership.

    The AFULE also has duly elected sub branch representatives who advocate on a local level and take issues to the Divisional Councillor to raise at our executive meetings. A full copy of sub branch results can be found here. And a full copy of all results can be found here.

    Although the current, formal AEC elections are complete. If you wish to become more active within your AFULE sub branch, please reach out to your local delegates or contact your state office for more information.

    Thankyou to the many members that nominated to become an official or delegate for the AFULE. Representative training dates are being finalised and correspondence will be sent to you shortly.
